Yoruba Social and Cultural Association of British Columbia (Vancouver Canada) invites qualified youths to apply for our Youth Summer Jobs starting June 15th for a period of 8 weeks. The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Two positions available- Office Administrator and Organization Project Manager. 17.40 CAD per hour. Work hours could cover Monday – Sunday, schedule to be agreed ahead of time.

  • Office Administrator
  • Organizational Project Manager

(3 positions) – 35 hours per week. Hybrid

• Hybrid role- 65% remote, 35% in-person in Surrey, BC. Flexible work schedule
• Serve as a Youth Liaison and coordinate communication with youths.
• Organize and arrange various youth empowerment programs.
• Develop relationship with various youth-focused groups in BC.
• Maintain records of minutes of meeting as applicable
• Develop monthly, quarterly reports on the various activities.
• Support in delivery of organization’s goals/social media presence using technology tools.

(2 positions)- 35 hours per week. Hybrid

• Hybrid role- 65% remote, 35% in-person in Surrey, BC.
• Manage and coordinate our empowerment and cultural orientation projects.
• Maintain records of minutes of meeting as applicable
• Represent the organization in various meetings, events, and administrative functions.
• Develop monthly, quarterly reports on the various activities in our organization.
• Complete operational requirements and manage calendars.
• Support in delivery of organization’s goals/social media presence using technology tools.

• Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job.
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
• Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
• International students and other temporary residents of Canada are not eligible.
• Relevant volunteer experience/use of technology tools are added advantages.
